Chamber’s International Wine & Beer Expo
Over 100 wine and beer enthusiasts enjoyed an evening of great food and drink, as The Chamber, in conjunction with MainStreet Hammonton, presented its annual wine tasting event, which this year was expanded to include beer and ale. It spotlighted wine from Joe Canal’s Discount Liquors, beer and ale from Kramer Beverage, an assortment of imported cheese from Bagliani’s Market, meat and pasta stations, plus live music. As an added feature, MainStreet Hammonton conducted a silent auction throughout the night, which met with great success. Archer & Greiner, PC, graciously sponsored the evening.
MainStreet Hammonton would also like to thank the sponsors who generously donated to the silent auction: Advanced Primary Care by Dr. Crane, Annata Wine Bar, Bagliani’s Food Market, Bob and Kathy Bucknam, Casciano’s Coffee Bar and Sweetery, David Charles Jewelers, Dental Care of South Jersey; Dr. Frank Pettisani, Inferrera’s Market, Kelly’s Hallmark, Mazzeo Studio, One Stop Detail Shop, Paul and Joanne Pullia, Salon Avanti, Salon Polished, Salon Shampu, Sam Moffa Hammonton Arts Center , Sassy Sweets, Serenity for a Day, South Jersey Laundry, Susquehanna Bank, Synergy Home Care, Brian and Carol Tidwell , 12th Street Sports, Carmelia De Ficcio Ziegler – Hammonton Arts Center, Joe and Marilyn Zimmatore. 23rd Annual Red, White & Blueberry Festival
The BERRIEST!

Hammonton lived up to its nickname of the “Blueberry Capital of the World” Sunday afternoon, June 28th, as a crowd estimated at 15, 000 descended upon our town for the annual Red, White & Blueberry Festival. The Greater Hammonton Chamber of Commerce’s 23rd edition of this event was deemed the best ever. Said festival chairman John Runfolo, “Crowd estimates are just that – educated guesses, but by virtue of the number of crafters, the number of classic cars, food vendor reports, parking area capacity and of course, blueberry sales (projected at over 900 crates or over two million berries) it was the biggest festival in the series.” Almost 100 food vendors and crafters populated the grounds of Hammonton High School, while visitors from all over the East Coast enjoyed live music, hundreds of classic cars, great food, kiddy rides, strolling entertainers and blueberry creations of all varieties. Runfolo once again thanked the many individuals and groups who contributed to the success of the festival, including his committee, the town of Hammonton, Police and Highway departments, Board of Education, the many civic clubs, the Hammonton Blueberry Farming Community, festival sponsors, Cruisin’ Classics, volunteers and the National Honor Societies from both Hammonton and St. Joseph High Schools. “It’s a community event - and there’s no better community than Hammonton.”
See you next year - June 27, 2010
